David Lock

David Lock QC is a barrister specialising in administrative and public law matters, particularly related to the National Health Service, local government and the police. He has been at the forefront of innovative thinking about the development of the legal profession both as a Minister and afterwards.
He became a Director of LBC in 2002 and since then his role has been to advise the company on strategy and developments in the legal services market.
David has served as a Member of Parliament, government minister and chair of the Service Authorities to the National Criminal Intelligence Service and the National Crime Squad, and played a part in bringing these organisations together as the Serious Organised Crime Agency. He became a QC in April 2011 and was the Birmingham Law Society's "barrister of the year" in 2011.
He has appeared in a large number of significant public law cases in the last 8 years
