Fiona has recently taken up the position of General Counsel at Lafarge Tarmac. Prior to that, she was Managing Director of Coventa Energy Limited, a renewable energy company focusing of the creation of energy from waste.
Fiona has worked at a senior level in many large utility companies and has a key understanding of the interface between commerce, customers and the people who deliver them. She has significant board experience as an executive, she was director and company secretary for all Covanta’s UK companies and worked closely with the board at National Grid.
Fiona trained as a solicitor with Pinsent Masons LLP before moving on to an in-house role with the telecoms division of GEC, working in Eastern and Western Europe, China, the Far East and Australia. Fiona has an honours law degree from Cambridge University and is a qualified solicitor. She is a graduate of the GEC management school and the Transco coaching programme.
