A different approach to recruitment – a service that is proportionate, focussed and valuable

It is one of the very pleasant consequences of our work that we meet many talented lawyers who for one reason or another are between roles at the time. While we never headhunt and we are by no means a traditional law department recruiter with a database of thousands, if we can help to match good people to good roles, we think that is a great thing to do.

LBCareers is therefore a targeted, but modest proposition and we reflect this fact in the fees that apply to our work. We do not recommend that you use us as the exclusive means to source a short-list of credible candidates, but given the potential upside, why would you not use us as part of your recruitment planning when we are such a low key, non bureaucratic and potentially very cost effective solution.

So, what does it cost?
Placing a client approved advertisement in our LBCommuniqué e-newsletter, published monthly, and which will also appear for one month on our website
£300 plus VAT
Writing a personal email to key contacts to ask if they might be aware of lawyers who would be interested in the role
No charge
Reviewing the CV’s we receive and liaison with the client to draw up a potential shortlist of candidates
A fixed fee of £600 plus VAT (if no candidates come forward obviously no charge)
If a candidate is then subsequently offered a job with the client a fixed success fee
A fixed fee of £3000 plus VAT

Therefore for an initial fixed fee outlay of just £300 you can access our contacts in a very measured and thoughtful way and for a further fixed fee of just £600 we will help compile the shortlist and liaise with you and candidates to set up first and second round interviews. Finally if, and only if, a candidate we refer to you is offered a role in your company, we will charge a success fee of £3000 plus VAT.

When traditional headhunters and recruiters are typically charging their clients at rates of between 20% and 30% of a candidate’s remuneration package, we think our proposition is fantastic value. So, if your in-house team has a vacancy, why not let us know, we don’t claim to have a big database and we won’t headhunt, but we won’t mess you about either and we will do all we can to help.
