Communication Skills (Soft Skills Master Class)

Objectives
To provide a significant opportunity to genuinely test assumptions and
experiment with different techniques and approaches to communication issues
that will add to the essential skills needed to be an outstanding lawyer.
The workshop will cover four different areas of expertise:
- Drafting for different audiences including practical exercises.
- Managing meetings more effectively (whether it is your meeting or not).
- Dealing with difficult people and difficult situations.
- Handling the
media to get your message across.
Course Content
- Working in detail, and using video to debrief and coach, the workshop
consists of a mix of formal presentations and practical case studies
that have been specifically designed to illustrate key learning points
for lawyers.
- Numbers are strictly limited and in this small group the coaching
is very intensive but also empathic and supportive.
- Skills are demonstrated in a confidential environment that is designed
to relax and encourage experimentation.
The Workshop follows our established pattern of presenting management
theory in a framework that is highly practical, tailored and relevant
with "pick-up-and-use" techniques that can be implemented
immediately. Workshops are interactive and designed to facilitate a
wide-ranging discussion that enables all the delegates to get the most
from the experience.
