Phil is Group Legal Director at the Phoenix Group, a life and pension fund consolidator with 6 million policyholders and member of the FTSE 250. His main areas of responsibility are the Group’s equity and debt funding,M&A activities, the listing regime and staff pension schemes.
Recent highlights at Phoenix include the acquisitions of AXA’s UK life insurance business for £375m and Deutsche Bank’s UK life business for £975m,involving a rights issue.
Before joining Phoenix, Phil was a senior assistant in corporate department at Ashurst.
Phil spends too much of his free time playing or watching sport, including dreaming of Northern Ireland winning the World Cup.
