Leading and transforming legal functions, as well as improving the view of the legal team across the business and challenging business processes to strive for overall improvements to an organisation are three key themes that have applied across my career, since I walked through the doors of a law firm 18 years ago.
Working in-house for the last 11 years, so for the majority of my career, has been a true privilege and pleasure to practice law in a way which can really help shape an organisation throughout all stages of its being – transformation, growth, fixing the past, acquisition, consolidation, being leaner. I believe that being a GC is truly the best Exec role of an organisation, as the role is crucial to the success and long term sustainability of its future.
Outside of work, I live in Cheshire with my young family and am constantly striving for that elusive balance of being a working parent.
