Stuart has been an in-house lawyer for over 20 years during which he has advised major multinational organisations on contentious and non-contentious matters and worked in the US, Germany and China.

Since 2014 Stuart has been Head of Legal at Jungheinrich UK (German engineering and intra-logistics company) and is a member of its senior leadership team where he has responsibility for the legal and compliance affairs of the company.

Prior to Jungheinrich Stuart was Legal Counsel at Tesco Plc where he advised on an extensive and diverse variety of retail, e-commerce and food safety matters, regulatory enforcement issues arising from Local Authority, HSE and CMA investigations and advocated Tesco’s interests with industry and governmental bodies.

Before joining Tesco Stuart was Group Legal Adviser at Mercedes-Benz UK (formerly DaimlerChrysler UK) where he had responsibility for all product liability matters across multi brand car and commercial vehicle divisions, routinely handling high profile complex matters including representing Mercedes-Benz in cases involving West Bromwich Albion footballer Lee Hughes, boxer Naseem Hamed and throughout the Metropolitan Police investigation (‘Operation Paget’) and Inquest into the deaths of Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Al Fayed.

Outside work Stuart enjoys anything involving live music and lives in Buckinghamshire.
