“A few quiet words” is Paul Gilbert’s fourth volume of articles. This collection reflects Paul’s view that the legal profession has reached a significant moment when it should stop defending structural weakness, but also stop searching for easy answers whether in new technologies, new models or “New Law”. Paul believes a more sustainable profession and career requires us to change self-destructive behaviours resulting in a long hours culture and unsustainable levels of work with no clear purpose. Articles seek to challenge lazy thinking and clichéd sentiment and challenge lawyers to find a better way.
