LBCambridge In-house Lawyers' Summer School - Queens' College 23rd - 25th September 2012

Irwin Mitchell At Queens' College, Cambridge in September 2012, 30 in-house lawyers will be coached in an interactive two day event led by some of the most respected names in the field.

The event is aimed specifically for those lawyers new to in-house roles or who are contemplating a move in-house, but it will also be valuable to those in-house lawyers who would like a comprehensive refresher on skills and issues relevant to the sector.

LBC Wise Counsel have set up an expert editorial board of General Counsel who will help to shape the best practice content and also facilitate sessions on the programme itself. Their efforts will be supported by nationally renowned speakers across different subject disciplines.

Paul explained "There is nothing like this available today, not only will we bring best practice ideas for our delegates to debate, but we also have this fantastic faculty of experienced senior lawyers to share their expertise in a genuinely inspirational setting".

The comprehensive programme will be designed to fulfil four key objectives:

Presentation skills, relationship management, negotiation and communication skills, team working

TO FOCUS ON OPERATIONAL IMPERATIVES –
workflow management, use of IT, knowledge management, outsourcing strategies

TO DEVELOP EARLY AWARENESS OF STRATEGIC MATTERS –
legal risk and how to manage it, articulating value, developing the importance of the role

TO ENSURE THAT PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT IS A PRIORITY –
in particular to understand career and personal development in the context of flat business structures

The programme is accredited for 14 hours CPD and is also Management Course Stage 1 accredited.
