Kim studied law at University but spent the first 8.5 years of her career as a non-lawyer working for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, London Branch in various front and back office roles, completing her LPC part-time.  Kim then trained at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and moved on qualification to Kirkland & Ellis International LLP, where she became part of the restructuring team.

After 4.5 years and the birth of her daughter, Kim moved in-house to Siemens plc in July 2011 and become part of the Corporate & Finance team as a senior lawyer,  She took over the leadership of that team within the UK Legal department in May 2012.  In that role, Kim managed the team and advised on a variety of matters including leveraged and project finance, leasing and receivables financing transactions and insolvency and restructuring matters.  In November 2014, after the birth of her son, Kim moved into a new role at Siemens plc as Country Lead Lawyer, Energy Management and Building Technologies.

In 2017 Kim moved to Centrica leading a new team following a significant reorgansiation in the role of Managing Counsel for UK Home and UK Buisness.
